🤖 You are all early in the age of AI

Pew Research Center's new survey offers insights on how well-known the AI chatbot ChatGPT is among American adults:

• Awareness: 58% of U.S. adults know about ChatGPT, but not many have used it.

• Demographics: Higher awareness among people with postgraduate degrees, affluent households, Asian adults, men, and adults under 30.

• Usage: Only 14% of U.S. adults have used ChatGPT, be it for fun, learning, or work.

• User Experience: 35% of users find it extremely or very useful, 39% see it as somewhat useful. A small group (27%) doesn't find it useful.

• Age Factor: Younger adults find ChatGPT more useful than the older ones.

What it means for you

Let's compare ChatGPT adoption to smartphone adoption. It's obviously different (cost, use case, speed of adoption), but let's just talk adoption stage. Using ChatGPT right now for the first time is like getting an iPhone in 2009.
